History
The Laurentian Ski Club formed in 1925 at what was then the McLeod family farm. Ski Jumps and Chalets were built and re-built on the site numerous times, and in 1947 the Laurentian Ski Club purchased the land.
The hill was re-opened with a modern quad chairlift, Handle Tow by the North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority for the 1998-1999 season, under the name Jack Pine Hill. In 2003, managment of the hill was turned over to the Laurentian Ski Hill Snowboarding Club, and the given it's current name.
More information about the history of the hill and pictures can be found at the Nipissing University Center for Community and Oral History website.
Organization
Laurentian Ski Hill is a not-for-profit business run by a volunteer board of directors. The hill is operated on land owned by the North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority.
